Self-Defense and Martial Arts Consulting for Schools, Corporations, and Other Organizations

Special Needs and Education Consulting

We want to enable students of every age and level of physical ability to discover greater self-confidence and independence. We have experience in teaching self defense principles and physical resistance techniques to individuals with physical challenges, visual impairments, hearing loss, and developmental disabilities — including ADHD.

Unfortunately, some individuals with special needs are unable to integrate into our regular classes. Whenever this is the case, we apply our adaptive approach to self-defense training as we work with human service agencies and families to develop a custom-tailored self-defense curriculum. Private lessons are available.

Sensei Jason Gould has provided character-based martial arts instruction to grade-school children within the Boston Public School System. His unique approach teaches traditional martial arts skills to children while also emphasizing respect, self-discipline, and teamwork.

As a MADDCAP instructor, Sensei Gould has teamed up with the Defeat Diabetes Foundation to teach life-saving information about diabetes and its prevention to his karate students, children in local schools, civic organizations, and the general public. Sensei Gould has also been a speaker at various forums on the subjects of goal setting, visualization, positive thinking, and persistence — what he calls "The Black Belt Attitude."

Corporate Consulting

Corporations around the country are recognizing the importance of supporting their employees and encouraging them to engage in physical training. With a healthier employee base, the corporation enjoys lower insurance rates, reduced absenteeism, and higher productivity.

Our traveling seminars can bring the excitement of self-defense training directly to your place of work. We'll tailor a seminar or series of classes to suit your individual needs and budget. Then, on the specified date, we'll bring our equipment and our expertise to the location of your choice.

Onsite seminars are ideal for Realtors, visiting nurses, and other in-service professionals who routinely enter stranger's homes, or late-shift employees who are concerned about safely navigating the parking lot at night. They're also great for building camaraderie, morale, and loyalty among corporate coworkers, and spicing up company outings. Imagine the motivating spin we can bring to those boring, all-day sales meetings!

Providing a martial arts or self-defense program is an excellent employee benefit that will quickly return high dividends for your corporation — employees appreciate companies that appreciate them. Self-defense seminars relieve stress and build confidence. And, people enjoy releasing their daily frustrations by hitting a big, padded target — some say it's better than therapy!
