Self-Defense Classes

In today's society, individual safety is an ever-growing concern. But armed with the proper knowledge and training, no one need walk in fear. Our self-defense seminars focus on risk reduction and avoidance — they are designed to increase individual awareness, build confidence, and reinforce good self-defense habits. During each session, we teach practical tools and viable physical resistance techniques without the rituals of traditional martial arts. There's also lots of opportunity for discussion and hands-on practice in every class.

Classes for Women

Confronting a stranger at the bus stop, dealing with unwanted attention at the bar, or walking home alone at night are situations that can make even the most confident woman nervous. In our Personal Safety and Risk Reduction Seminar, we cover the issues that are most important to women, including dating safety and how to deal with aggressive behavior. During class we'll discuss sensitive topics including stalking, abusive relationships, and date rape, and we'll also hand out packages filled with information about referral agencies and additional resources. The class is taught in a private setting, and male guests are not allowed into the training area.

Classes for Children

From strangers in the park to bullies on the playground, children may have to face a myriad of dangers in today's world. Our Children's Self-Defense Program will teach your child how to recognize and avoid dangerous situations. During class, we'll discuss a number of topics, including traffic safety, avoiding drugs and alcohol, inappropriate touching, and how and when to call 911. Parents are strongly encouraged to attend the training with their children.

We also offer the R.A.D. Basic Physical Defense course for women and the radKIDS course for children. For more information about our self-defense seminars for women and children, please contact us.
